SANTA CLARA REMODELING

The remodeling of the kitchen and terrace of Rancho Santa Clara is the result of a meticulous analysis of the new needs of its inhabitants, which after years of use, showed visible signs of wear, as well as a terrace that, despite having incredible views, lacked permanence due to constant solar incidence.

The kitchen intervention corrected design problems, prioritizing symmetry, more storage space, a new breakfast area, as well as delicately designed and crafted oak cabinets, and dramatic beta coverings. The comfort of the kitchen is reinforced not only in its distribution, but also in the integration of slow closing slides and lighting systems in each drawer.

For its part, the terrace was intervened from a recycled plastic wood roof and a parametric design metal structure, whose solar analysis only allows maximum sunlight in winter and shaded space during summer. The design as a whole manages to frame the landscape and make this a retreat space.
